ചെറുദീപങ്ങള്‍ തെളിക്കാന്‍ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തപ്പോള്‍ പിന്തുണയറിയിച്ച് ജനങ്ങള്‍ പന്തംകൊളുത്തി തെരുവിലിറങ്ങിയത് കണ്ട് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോഡി പോലും അമ്പരന്നുപോയിക്കാണും. മോഡിയുടെ ദീപം കൊളുത്തല്‍ ആഹ്വാനത്തെ ‘പന്തം കൊളുത്തി പട’ ആക്കി മാറ്റിയ സംഭവം ഇപ്പോള്‍ ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ ട്രെന്‍ഡിങ് ആകുകയാണ്.
കൊറോണ പ്രതിരോധത്തിന് ഐക്യദാര്‍ഢ്യം തേടിക്കൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഏപ്രില്‍ അഞ്ചിന് രാത്രി ഒമ്പത് മണിക്ക് ഒമ്പത് മിനിറ്റ് ചെറുദീപങ്ങള്‍ തെളിക്കണമെന്ന് ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തത്. മോഡിയുടെ വാക്കുകള്‍ ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് ജനങ്ങള്‍ ദീപം തെളിക്കുന്നതിന് പകരം പന്തം കൊളുത്തിയും ആവേശം കൂടിയപ്പോള്‍ പടക്കം പൊട്ടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ചിലര്‍ സ്വന്തം ശരീരത്തിലും ദീപം കൊളുത്തിയാണ് ഐക്യദാര്‍ഡ്യം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. ലോക്ക് ഡൗണ്‍ ലംഘിച്ച് പലരും തെരുവിലിറങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഈ അവസരത്തില്‍ രാജ്യം കൊറോണയ്‌ക്കെതിരെ മാത്രം പോരാടിയാല്‍ പോരാ, ഇത്തരം വിഡ്ഢിത്തരങ്ങള്‍ക്കെതിരെയും പോരാടേണ്ടി വരും എന്നാണ് പലരും ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ കുറിച്ചത്.
ഇതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് #Stupidity എന്ന ഹാഷ്ടാഗില്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ വിവിധ കോണുകളില്‍ നടന്ന ‘കോപ്രായങ്ങള്‍’ ആളുകള്‍ ട്വിറ്റര്‍ വഴി പങ്ക് വെക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ‘അകത്തിരിക്കൂ; ഇത് ലോകകപ്പ് ജയിച്ചതല്ല…!’ എന്നായിരുന്നു ഇതു കണ്ട ക്രിക്കറ്റ് താരം രോഹിത് ശര്‍മയുടെ പ്രതികരണം
